The Luxembourgish school system makes it extra challenging

Learning abstract concepts is challenging enough. As a tutor, I've watched countless students struggle not just with complex topics, but with having to learn in a language that isn't their mother tongue.

It's frustrating - for the students, for overwhelmed teachers, and for parents who want to help but are juggling their own responsibilities.

The benefits of external support

Through tutoring, I've seen how impactful a bit of extra help can be. Sometimes, just having something explained differently is all it takes to make it click.

This support makes a real difference - not just in grades, but in building confidence across all aspects of life. That's what makes education such a heartwarming endeavor.

Why tutoring alone isn't enough

But a one-to-one session on its own can't work wonders for any student: the daily homework, the revision before every test, and the topic that still somehow isn't 100% clear the evening before the test.

What students really need is both: structured material they can lean on every day, and an experienced person who can clear up the final doubts at the moments that matter.

During my studies, I discovered how powerful online resources can be. Being able to study at my own pace helped me truly grasp complex topics.

I could pause, rewind, and review until everything made sense. This approach transformed my relationship with maths, and I knew it could do the same for students across Luxembourg.

Most content does not match your children's needs

"But Rick, there are already tons of maths videos online! And I'm sure I can find a tutor too..."

True. But who has time to search through countless videos and create a coherent learning path, then spend hours looking for a good tutor only to get lost in scheduling chaos?

Parents have enough responsibilities. They shouldn't need to become curriculum experts too.

LuxEdu, the better alternative

We combine the best of online learning - flexibility and repeatability - with a curriculum specifically designed for Luxembourg. Everything is in Luxembourgish, removing the language barrier many students face.

Through our tutoring network, parents can now book vetted tutors who know the Luxembourgish curriculum directly in the app.
